anyone used DVI on a Geforce MX??

I was thinking of getting the Asus Geforce MX card for the DVI on it. I hear image quality with DVI is pretty much constant between cards, is this really true? Would the use of an ATI be any better image wise? Has anyone had expreience with the DVI on either?
