Anyone used Corsair's LAPDOG?

Reviews seem on the fence. Great idea but quality issues and sharp edges.

That said I might pick one up anyway because right now I use a wood shelf board that I cut to place across the arm rest of my theater recliner to game on the big screen. This would work so much better.

I wish I would have had one of those a long time ago... had a circle chair that was super comfortable and this would have worked perfect for it. I see the picture shows the guy wired in, I don't know how realistic that is from a couch, but looks like a good idea.

I use one for a few months now. To me it's worth the compromise but if you aren't hurting for it right now, wait for a revision. A wrist rest has to be added for the typing hand, the mouse hand should also have some ergonomic feature as well.

I feel Corsair is on the right track here but any viable couch KB+M solution needs plenty of space to rest the hands on.

I'm not sure what you are implying. IMO the mouse pad isn't too small, it's the lack of ergonomic wrist support that hurts this, as well as other solutions.

I still maintain that a practical solution is feasible. Lapdog's issue is that if you take the hand of the mouse, it will slide to the edge if not off the pad. A ergonomic bump to serve as a wrist rest could also house magnets to help keep a mouse stationary when not in use.

It's a niche market so I'm not getting my hopes up in terms of Corsair evolving the product but more attention to ergonomics could help them nail the elusive couch solution.

You are absolutely right! It is better to wait a little more for the revised version which will definitely have better features and comfort for wrist. But this really is a must-have for a person like me
