Anyone used Asus Probe & general K7M questions

I just got a GFD for my Athlon 500 and cracked it open. I didn't take the front plate off because I didn't have any thermal paste around to put the heatsink back on, so I don't know what speed my core is. I'm at 650 @1.65V (the highest I've tried) and having no problems whatsoever running that cancer cure program for hours.

So, I installed Asus Probe that came with my K7M as a sort of hardware monitor. My big question is this: Asus probe has this DMI Explorer thing that says the maximum processor speed, and it says 850Mhz! Before I get all starry eyed about my overclocking prospects, does this indicate the rating of the core? I got this processor when 650s were just starting to come out, so I don't think so, but the motherboard BIOS I'm using supports up to 1GHz, so I don't think it can be that. Anyone have any insight?

Oh yeah... I tried WCPUID and it's giving me funky ridiculously low speeds... 1.5 MHz system bus, etc. Anyone know what's up with that?

ASUS seems to know how far Intel and AMD are willing to go in terms of speed for their manufacturing processes, or at the very least, the top speed in each stepping. The top speed for the stepping of silicon that you have is about 850MHz.

Similarly, my cB0 processor is given a top speed of about 1.033GHz. I'll never reach that far on my own CPU, but someone seems to think that this stepping can reach that far.
