Anyone used a Thermalright HR-03 as a single slot cooler?

Like it says on the tin, has anyone used a HR-03 in the upwards orientation? Did it fit single slot? What did you do about the PCI plate if you started with a dual slot card?
 
Mine is used fanless and the heatsink is on the top of the card. It is on a single 7950GT. If you were running two cards you would have to put one on top and the second on the bottom. The heatsink is quite large and sticks up/down a ways from the card itself. I can see that if you do add a fan and then place everything under the card it would easily take three spaces and that is assuming your card is a single spaced one. I hope that answered your question. Just for your information my current card temp is the same as before but I now have zero fan noise.
