anyone used a netgear CM212 cable modem with adelphia cable?

Hi,

I wanted to buy the Netgear CM212 cable modem for use with Adelphia Cable, but it isnt on their list of recommended modems despite the fact that its DOCSIS approved. should i care if its not on their approved list, and has anyone used it successfully with adephia. thx.
