Anyone use Windows Media Player 9? Is it possible to get it to play a file when the programs runs w/o clicking PLAY?

I am trying to use the Task Scheduler in WinXP Pro to play an .mp3 in Windows Media Player at a specified time. The problem I am having is that WMP does run at the specified time but it doesn't play a file. I have heard that WMP 6.4 will play a file when the program runs but I can't seem to get it to work in WMP 9.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I use WMP9 to watch movies. If I click the movie file in Explorer, WMP opens and plays. If WMP is your default MP3 player, try creating a schedule to "open" the MP3 instead of WMP? No idea if it'll work, and I can't test here at work.

Thank you very much Dan. It worked. I didn't notice that I could BROWSE down to the .mp3, I thought Task Scheduler would only run programs but it did play the .mp3 with the associated player (in my case it was Winamp).

Thank you very much!
