I don't have a paid account. I believe there's a 2GB limit. I've uploaded files a number of times for others to download, and AFAIK always successfully. But at least a couple times I have gotten messages from Wetransfer that the file(s) have NOT been downloaded and will expire. The expiration is one week. I uploaded a 31MB file for a friend to download 5 days ago, an MP3 and she emailed me a few days later that she got it and listened to it. Now I get an email from Wetransfer saying it has NOT been downloaded. What's up with that? Anyone else experience this stuff?

Got this today:

Your transfer expires in two days!

Hmm, it looks like your files haven't been downloaded yet, and this transfer will expire

on *6 May, 2021*. When this happens, these files will be removed from our servers.

Do you want to make this transfer available for longer? Upgrade to *WeTransfer Pro*, and

you’ll be able to choose any expiration date you want—you can even change it after the transfer has been sent.

Mega gives you 50gb for the free account, and stuff isn't deleted until you delete it, unless you're inactive forever, and they threaten to close the account.

I wouldn't about it so much. It's possible they use a cookie or something similar to track that it's been downloaded and if that doesn't register they don't view it as downloaded.
