Anyone use vehicle-type radiators instead of standard PC radiators?

I just picked up a transmission oil cooler for my truck and got to thinking, "wouldn't this work as a computer radiator?"

Anyone tried this? They are cheaper than PC radiators sometimes. They would definitely have to fit on the side panel of a case, however. Curious to see how well it works

The early 80's Chevette heater core that is $20 at Autozone is commonly used.

its the same thing as trans coolers......any "pc" cooler is just made to fit in a certain space ,..but is the same as car coolers....as long as its a low flow design.......and not the older "tube" design......they dont cool as well.. but still work.....

radiators a radiator right? just depends on surface area i think. depends on how strong your pump is though, the extra resistence ... if your pump slows to a crawl all the benifit is lost .... but i guess with such a large area you don't really even need a fan.
