Anyone use this Antec case? How is the noise?

Looks like the type of case I'm looking for, for my daughter's "off to college" computer build for the end of summer. I'm picking up parts here and there as I see good deals. So, I hope this is as good as I could get with a Dell or HP system purchase, because that's what she'll be comparing her rig to in the freshman dorms.

Never mind. I just bought it. Can't be any worse than a no name I would buy locally. And as I said, for a daughter's build, who won't be opening the case unless Daddy does it it for her.

It's pretty good.

Kindof a pain to build with inside (a tad odd how they designed the panels) but nevertheless pretty good.

Hey Fritz, Why the Chicom troop avatar?

Nerp, it's a decent case just has no direct HDD cooling so you have to rely on the rear fan to pull air across them. Be sure any grillwork in front of the HDDs is wide open. The PSU is much better than the chassis though. I use a similar 380 in my main system. If you buy one of my cases, you can get an EA-380 with it for $20.00. Just click the link in my sig. The Mystique 631 will earn a lot more "dorm cred" points than the 4480... ;)

As BassBomb said, the panel design is a bit odd, but no big deal. It's not flimsy, it lacks sharp edges, & comes with a very good PSU - unlike most other budget cases. I've used it for dozens of budget & midrange builds, so I'd strongly recommend it. Only thing to be aware of is that if you plan on using three or more hard drives, you'll likely want to install an 80mm into the front mount to get some active cooling on them.

Case works just fine and PSU is nice. Just built one (latest of a number of these cases I've done builds with) and the 8800GT I used blocked one of the three HDD spots. The case is really compact for a normal ATX form factor. It's pretty basic, but looks okay and has grommets for the HDD mounts.
