Anyone use their radio's built in sat connection?

My cd player has XM capability and was wondering if anyone uses theirs and what they thought of it compared to a standalone module.

Should be better then a standalone; no external controls and no fm modulation (assuming you can't feed a preamp level signal directly into your HU).
