I'm considering purchasing this camera for an organization I belong to in order to take pictures of events and occassionally print out 3x5 or 4x6 pictures.

Anyone here use it or have any feedback about it? I've read the CNET and several digital photo sites, and it seems to be a pretty good cam for the money.

We have the D-450 at work, and it is a very nice camera...The 3X optical, 2X digital zoom works very well.....

I'm not a camera expert, but the color is sharp and the prints are crisp....I would recommend a 32Meg smart card to hold photos as the 8 meg card doesn't hold many files at high res.. I would also recommend the floppy adaptor to transfer your files..

I don't think these have USB (anyone?)...

Caution, the floppy adaptor will not work with a LS120 Drive, so if you have one, you'll have to use the cable..

Good Luck!

I have used one and it is a fine little camera that makes very sharp pictures. Have been using the C-2000Z and now have the C-3030Z. It keeps getting better.

I tried the floppy adapter and gave it away after one week. Not only did it not work with the LS-120, it also did not work with a laptop's floppy drive. Also it is terribly slow . . . just like the host floppy drive! Get yourself a decent USB SmartMedia reader. The best deal right now is the SanDisk reader from BuyComp for less than $50. You download at USB speed from a lettered HDD.

I figured that picking up a smartcard/compact flash reader would be the way to go. Actually I just saw Lextor has a universal reader out now that reads pc cards, smartcards, and compact flash cards via a USB or parallel port (seems like the best direction and to be future proof a bit.)

Thanks for the feedback on the D-460Z :)
