Anyone Use the Nicotine Patch?

My brother has decided to quit smoking and has been using the patch for two weeks now and so far so good. How did you feel about smoking after the prescibed time? I feel that he has decided to quit for good and that the patch is just giving something to lean on for awhile. We all hope that in the interim the desire to smoke reduces and he rids himself of the habit. (He has been smoking for 20 years). At this point he said he really misses smoking when he is driving (long commutes).

BTW, no one else in the family smokes.
