anyone use the microsoft remote kb?

Its tempting for a spare machine I dont want to have to use on the switcher. I will use input director, but in case something goes wrong a kb like that would be helpful.

I use it for my media center. It works well. The mouse/nipple thing isn't the best but it's functional.

I have heard this KB needs a special IR adapter is this true acole1? For $30 it's sure tempting but if I gotta pay $30 more for a specific IR adapter I'm not so sure I want it.

that keyboard does need an additional ir blaster, i also use it for media center, with a blaster it will do 30 ft.

I use the IR receiver in my Antec media center case. It also works with my HP laptops.

I also have the MS receiver when I bought the MS remote control, but I don't use it.

+1 .. I hate that nipple !! Replace it with a smallish trackball and that KB would be perfect. I had plans to combine it with the Logitech Air Mouse, but at $100 I can't justify the expense for a mouse with motion control. I could just use a Wii-mote in a pinch if necessary.
