Anyone use the evga 470/480 high airflow gtx's?

For the gtx 470 it's the superclocked+ and I'm not sure what the name is for the 480 version. Did temps improve much? Worth the buy? Overclocking?

Def. worth buying, they run a realistic 5-7 degrees cooler then the regular reference models. I think hardware canucks has a review on them. They're both called Superclocked (+)

waiting for my free one from eVGA (in the mail atm). As soon as I get it I'll slap it on and report back if no one else has by then.

Yeah mine is in the mail. My first one got here but they sent me a control panel for a x58 mobo instead... whoops!

But hey, they let me keep it... wish they had sent me a 470 instead haha

Good difference simple design changes can make.
Yeah, 6C is quite good for minor changes to the cooler.

What’s even more astonishing is that such an elementary design wasn’t already included in the reference one. Fermi's stock coolers are very poor, especially considering the high TDP they have to dissipate.
