Don't believe it's a problem.
Just ordered the board and a taisol so I'll know for sure next week.

thank you Raster. If you dont mind, please keep me update. Another question: do you plan to apply Artic Silver on your CPU?

I stumbled across a review of the Iwill K266 that had beaucoups photos.
One of the photos was of a Taisol hsf with a caption saying it fit the board with no problem. Sorry I would have posted the link but I couldn't get into anantech at that time and I lost it now. If you want to find it try a search on google.com for "Iwill K266 review" -- that site came up on the first page.

Regarding the Arctic Silver

I didn't order any because I've read some good things about the phase change thermal material that comes on the unit and I plan to use that. On second thought I wish I had ordered it because if you need to remove the hsf from the CPU, I gather that original stuff is not re-useable. Let's say you wanted to connect bridges but before taking the plunge, you wanted to test the CPU. Seems to me, you've gotta then clean off the orginal thermal goop with solvent, then re-apply some thermal paste--might as well be Arctic Silver. So if I had it to do again, I would have order some.

Good luck with your project btw.

Thanks for your encourage. I have another question if you dont mind. How do I remove the fan (or the paste) if I have already attached it to the CPU?
thanks again.

Haven't been there with this phase-change stuff.

Probably its softer when warm so I'd run the PC for a few minutes to warm it up. Shut it off, release the clip holding the hsf to the socket and take the hsf/cpu off the board. This stuff is not an adhesive so the hsf should come off the cpu without much pressure. If it didn't come right off, I'd try a gentle twist. To clean it I would scrape it with something plastic (credit card?) then use alchohol. If that didn't work I'd try acetone. In either case I'd damp a soft cloth with the solvet and of course be careful of the pins.

Probably plenty of folks here have done this and can correct or add to this if needed.

Just got the Taisol CGK742096 from Nerdsbyte.
It fits fine--about 1/2 inch to the nearest capacitor towards the back of the board and about 3/8 inch clearance to the front. The corner of the hsf comes quite close to the corner of the power supply socket but doesn't touch.

Use the Artic Silver when you re-attach the hsf - in as thin a layer as you can. BTW, what processor are you guys using? Anybody using the 266fsb Athlon - I ordered a 1.2 ghz version. Wondering about the match on a KK266.

OK. Just can't seem to find a post about setting up Athlon 'C' chips that come with 266mhz FSB. Guess I'll find out when I get mine. thanks.

I'm planning on using a 1.2/100. I talked to Iwill tech support about the gamepc article and they didn't think it made much sense.
They also pointed out that it wasn't clear where he was getting his CPUs.

Worst case I end up running at 1.2/100, no bad for $230.
