Anyone use Sprint PCS Wireless Web?

Anyone here use Sprint PCS wireless web? I am seeing more and more use for mobile e-mail and web access however limited. Anyone have any experience using it? I would probably use it on my Sanyo 6200 phone and also hook it up to my laptop and Handspring Visor Deluxe for a slightly more powerful experience.

I understand that it costs an additional $10 a month and uses your regular minutes.

i only "use" it for ringers and more on my sanyo 5150, and has preformed well EXCEPT for this weekend, i haven't been able to connect at all the past 2 days. However, for over 3 months it has worked fairly well.

Is it possible to get a bluetooth-enabled phone and establish some sort of a data connection to my home RAS server of some sort and access the Internet off my iPAQ this way?

It'd be nice to have the iPAQ dial the phone, connect to my home server, download and cache email messages (or AvantGo) and disconnect every 15 mins or so.

I use it about 1000 minutes a month...off peak minutes. Sprint has the Bluekite Optimisation Software downloadable. The normally 14.4 connection ends up at 28.8 in speed.

As for price, I bitched a little and got it included for free.😎

With my Kyocera 6035 Palm Phone I can check and send email with the phone and browse the web at 14.4. Using the sync cable I usually surf with my laptop as the Bluekite is not available for the phone browser.

This setup will do until 3G becomes widespread....

I'm on the 3-month free trial period. I've used it a few times to check the news, only because I was bored. Watching CNN or going to CNN.com is so much easier than trying to navigate a three line display.

The only thing I've used for real was the yellow pages. We normally keep a real phone book in our car, but we were in another city this particular weekend. Other than that, the SPCS Wireless Web thing is still a toy.

I thought it was only $5/month.

i use it.. however i must be on a different plan then you all... I only pay 5 dollars a month for sprint pcs wireless web on my touchpoint 1100 phone. But it doesnt use my regular minutse. i have to pay extra for each minute i use.
