Anyone use SetiProxy?? Help please....

I got it setup and running just fine at work, but I'm having trouble at home. I've been getting the following error:

Does anyone know what that cause of this is??

I'm not familiar with SETIproxxy ,but I use SETIQ which has also been recieving 'duplicated result' message from the SETI server rather a lot lately.In these cases its possible that SETI has already recieved the result from you ,but I'm more inclined to think that their server is giving incorrect error messages because I have known (when I check it)that sometimes they have not recieved my result but they still say it is duplicated!.
SETIQ copies these allegded duplicated results into a dropped folder so you can resubmit them latter.🙂

Most of the team members use SETIDriver (for single machines) or SETIQ (for a network), so I can't help you there. 🙁 Sorry.

If you're running the screensaver client, make sure you have it set to go to blank screen mode in less than 5 mins. Showing the graphics will double your WU times. :Q

You get duplicate results when you send a result, SETI receives it, but you don't get the acknowledgement so you try to send it again..

Because of the high traffic to and from the SETI campus, you'll probably be getting a lot at the moment..

This shouldn't involve the Seti Server.

This happens when I'm NOT connected to the net.

This occurs when the seti client finishes a WU and connects to the SetiProxy software to exchange the finished WU for a new one.

If I re-start the seti client, it will access SetiProxy just fine and continue it's crunching until it needs a new WU, then it happens again.

It sounds like SetiProxy may be somehow repeatedly sending the same Work Unit to the client...? Like the others here, I would recommend using SetiQ on a network, and SetiDriver for an individual computer, since most of us here know how they work, and would be more able to help you with any problems you might have.

Are you sure about that? ,if your 100% right then any results put into the dropped folder should be deleted! ,I'm fairly sure though that sometimes they dont get the result but still say its duplicated ,at least occasionally?

I can't find SetiProxy on SETI's related programs page. Can you tell us where you got it?

It's working perfectly here at work on a local system, as well as a system that access it via proxy for WU's.
