Someone posted the same question earlier today. The short answer is that there's little benefit towards enabling it past native command queuing and hot-plugging. But there's also no real harm in enabling it (especially if you're on an OS that supports it out of the box like Vista), so you may as well enable it. It's a transitional standard, eventually IDE will be phased out entirely for AHCI.

I do! and love it compare to IDE mode. As mentioned, it has very little effect but it's there and it actually gives me that warm fuzzy feeling of good performance so I left it in there.
