My school offers unlimited playing of music for 2 bucks a month or 8 dollars for the entire semester.

You can only play it through online streaming, you can't burn it or move it to a portable device.

any place where you can pay a monthly fee and have unlimited downloads?

-napster? (not sure)

emusic.com used to have a service like that but they have since changed to a per song basis i believe. the music is still reasonably priced though and they have an excellent selection, imo.

I go back to it every so often. They had a good selection and some new releases on the day they were released. Do you have a software based audio recorder on your pc? I suggest TOTAL RECORDER http://www.highcriteria.com

I'm wondering how good of a music selection do they have? I dont want to get it and find out they have like music from like 6 months ago and not now.

Stream rippers and other arrr matey tools.

$2/month is pretty good, I pay $10/month for Napster to try before I buy and to listen to CDs I don't like enough to want true CD quality for. But I'm parrot-free, most users here seem to like rum, infringery and the lash.

Yes, I do the $2/month thing too.. Where do you go to school? I say it's worth it. Makes searchign songs really easy if you just want a particular song at the moment. Forget NAPSTER. If you really want music to go you can just stream rip it. Rhapsody FTW!

I use it. I get Rhapsody for free. I only get to play 25 songs a month but it is good just to hear some songs before you buy them. Rhapsody & Replay go great together 😀
