I got Cingular now, with 900 minutes w/rollover. thing is, I only use like 200-300 a month.

With Text Messaging, Data and Cell I'm out $100 a month.

I only really need a phone....I can get 1000 minutes for $100, that last for a year from Tmobile with a Razr phone.....I figure it will save me almost $800+ a year....

Average usage now is 200 minutes..

Anyone else switch to Pre-Paid? Anyone have experience with Tmobile prepaid?

make sure you get the $100 card before you use it. i had $15 on my tmobile which drained down to $3 in an emergency. now on us cellular plan which is awesome.. $39.95 / month gets me unlimited incoming, unlimited m2m and 1000 anytime minutes. or you could go with the SERO plan. if you are interested in the US cellular plan, msg me and I can get you a good discount.

I don't use the TMobile service, so I can't comment on that. I use Virgin Mobile. Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint PCS network. Prices are $.25 per minute for the first 10 minutes a day, $.10 per minute for the rest of the day. Minutes roll over month to month, and there are no extra connection charges or monthly fees. Minimum is $20 topup every 90 days, or $15 if you use their auto-topup*. Even if you manage to pay 25 cents a minute for all 200-300 minutes a month, it'll only be $50-75 per month, compared to the hundred you're paying now, and chances are good that some of the minutes would be 10 cents. Text messages are free incoming and 10 cents each outgoing, changing in the summer sometime to 5 cents outgoing and incoming.

*They also do a full year of service if you hit a hundred bucks in a short period.

VirginMobile FTW.

I've been using them for a couple years now. It's prepaid but they still have a couple different plans to choose from depending on your usage.
