Are there ads?
If you record, can you fast forward through the ads?

I've tried them all at some point. I believe their streaming service was ok. Can't remember about FF commercials. My problem was the missing news stations but it looks like they have added a lot more since I checked them out. You might try the 7-day free trial.

They also upgraded the cloud-based DVR to hang on to your shows for a full year. Feel free to use my referral link to get $5 off after a free trial if you keep it.

We tried Philo for a few months just before Discovery Plus came out. The channels we wanted were offered there, commercial free.

Discovery+ had a gift year membership for under $60, no commercials.

The DVR functionality with Philo was ok and it seems like an alright deal, but I was double commercialed because Philo has their own on top the network ones.

Tried it for a couple of months then cancelled. Didn't care for the DVR or "On Demand" function. Lots of episodes missing.

Philo dough is very hard to with with. Time consuming, you have to butter every layer. But at the end it's with it for those tasty Greek treats
