Curious if someone could refer me so I can get free activation. According to their site you get a $30 Amazon Gift Card.

When I called them from a friends house they told me I could get a different area code that was offered and the pay a extra $4.99 a month and get a 800 number so anyone can call me. Is that what your talking about? I looked online and my local phone company wants $49.99 for unlimited long distance which is it high IMO.
What I don't understand is the 100mins thing.

So if someone calls me using the 1800 number and talks for the 100mins it starts charging me? If so I am probably better off telling them I'll call them right back after they call?

yep. just take the call, then call em right back. Or have them call your main number (thats a different area code) from their cell phone as most dont charge for long distance nowadays.
