Anyone use or have a link to reviews of those bazooka subwoofers?

I am considering getting one to ad some punch to my sound system without eating up too much space. It doesn't need to bounce my car or vibrate the cars around me, just decent sound with a decent thump. So what do you guys think of them, any reviews, anything else like them to look at?

I found some user reviews on epionions.com, but I would like to see at least one professional review, anybody know of any?

From my limited experience, they should work well for what you intend to use it for. I'm reading this as you're looking for something to fill in the lows a bit. A tube won't rattle the windows. However, if in the future you decide that you want more kick, the tube won't be able to provide that. IMHO then tend to become "boomy" at higher volumes.

I don't know what i want. I am looking for something to save on space. I want it to sound good, and be able to punch a little, like I said I don't want to be one of those people driving down the road rattling the cars they pass becuase of their powerful bass, but I want enough power that I can hear and feel the bass over road noise when going 70 miles per hour. I used to have a Jeep wrangler with a couple of RF 10" subs I think, not sure exactly which ones. They were powered by a RF Punch 150a, I think. The amp cost me like 250.00 at best buy about 3 years ago. Those sounded good enough, but took up more space then I would have liked. I would trade some( and by some I don't mean a lot) of thump in order to save the space.

Guys-

The shape of an enclosure does not matter in the case you guys are talking about. A tube will not get more boomy than a comparable volume square enclosure. The only reason different shapes are used are to prevent standing waves. A tube also is stronger than a square.

I've got a couple of 6 1/2 inch SAS Bazooka tubes that I've had for about 7 years and have been through hell and back. They still sound pretty good. Did a good job of pounding out punchy, yet not boomy lows with a the smallish amp (50w X2) I had on them in my last car (88 Olds Cutlass). I retired them for one 12inch MTX 6000 series sub and a 300W RF amp that I have in my current ride. :)

I think if you picked up one 8 or 10 inch Bazooka you'd probably be happy. 2 6 1/2 inch ones worked well for me and didn't take up as much space (or get quite as loud) as the sealed box I have now. My $.02
