Ok, so I was at Books a Million and saw one of these laptop lap rest thingies and I've decided it would make the perfect father's day gifts. I'm not sure what the proper term for them is, but they are more or less a pillow with a flat, hard surface to put your laptop on and a padded arm rest on it. You set it on your lap and then set your laptop on it.
My dad recently discovered the joys of wireless internet, so now is favorite thing to do is sit in his recliner at night and watch tv while browsing some atv forums. I know that his laptop (an Inspiron 8200) has to get hot sitting directly on his lap, and it can't be comfortable either, so I figured this would make a great little father's day gift. Have any of you used one of these, and are they worth it? The one I saw was $20, which seemed a little steep for what amounted to a pillow with a flat top.
