Anyone use Norton Ghost 9.0?

I bought an old OEM copy of Ghost that supposedly supported burning images to DVD's and that never worked correctly and I could never get it working over my network for network backups.

I thought maybe the new version would be better, but I thought I'd ask before I waste 60 bucks on it.

I've read some reviews where people say it does not work correctly with SP2? Is this true?

I am thinking of backing up to either DVD, networked share, or an external USB hard disk. Has anyone used it for any of those backup methods and can relate their experience?

If it were me, I'd spent that money on the latest version of Acronis True Image and pass on Ghost.

After reading the acronis vs ghost posts it seems like acronis is the way to go. Symantec has turned into a pos company in all regards.

Okay, so it's not just me then.

I have the Ghost that came with Systemworks 04 & now 05, & both refuse to burn to DVD-/+R/RWs for me too.
I thought i was doing something wrong, but maybe Ghost just blows...

I have always reverted to using my trusty Drive Image 7.0 which still works great.

Nope, all it made were expensive coasters. I just ordered true image 8, hope it ships to me soon.
