Anyone use Newsbin Pro?

I've got a problem downloading headers from Newsbin Pro. I have a license, so it's all legal. On a cable modem, my usual sites, such as anantech, download at any where from 2.75 to 3 mpbs. Newsbin Pro has a speed indicator that shows how fast you download headers and files. I'm only getting up to 300 kbps, and usually it d/l's at 2.75. I've posted on their tech site, and they're stumped. Insightbb is my ISP, and I use their news server. Newsbin people think it may lie with Insight, so I e-mailed them, but haven't heard anything. However, is it possible for everything else to d/l at it's usual speed, and Newsbin be that much slower? I also have Agent, and it's running like it usually does. I prefer Newsbin. Any tips, clues, etc?

Does Agent get the same dl speed as newsbin? newsbin might be doing multiple connections to your isp, check that.

I haven't noticed any kind of speed indicator on Agent. Agent seems to run the same speed all of the time.

How do I check the connections?

I've only used newsbin once. It's in the server settings somewhere.

It might just be that your newsgroup server is slow.

Insight has a problem with the news server.
