The price seems very good for a full synthetic, ~24-25 per 5.1 quart jug:

Thinking about switching to this on my next change. Have been using dino/synthetic blend for the last 130K miles in my K24 Accord. No oil consumption so far.

Will this "high mileage" M1 have additional additives in it to prevent oil leaks after switching to full synthetic?

I used that on my old car. Can't say whether it really was any "better" for it than regular mobil 1 or not as I didn't do any oil analysis stuff. I've never had issue with either version of mobil 1. I run the standard mobil 1 in my 02 Trailblazer that is at 198K miles (switched it to synthetic when I bought it with 112K) and it hasn't leaked yet.

Having switched older engines to synthetic several times I'm of the opinion that the notion of switching causing oil leaks is a bunch of hogwash. If switching to synthetic "causes" a leak, you already had one to begin with - it has just plugged itself from crappy oil sludging up in the hole.

Unless you are trying to extend your drain intervals I would just use a semi-syn high mileage oil and change every 5000miles.

The cost per qt is only about $1 more than the current Castrol syn blend I'm using now, so this could actually be a better deal if I can go 7-8K per change as opposed to 5K on the Castrol. Plus a little bit of added convenience from not taking it to my mechanic for oil changes as often.
