I've been trying to get this to work for about an hour now to no avail. I've got fbsetbg, using feh, to load background images. The FAQ on Fluxbox's site say something about selecting Menu Alpha from the config menu, I have no such option so I wrote session.screen0.menuAlpha: 160 into the ~/.fluxbox/init myself. Restarted Fluxbox, nothing. So I then tried to fbsetbg my wallpaper file from rxvt only to get a popup message that reports an error. Following the errors instructions I ran feh wallpaper/image.jpg and got this error:

No Imlib2 loader for that file format
feh ERROR: Couldn't load image in order to set bg

I've got no idea where to go from here. Any help? Thanks!

Gentoo? The imlib image format loaders are in some seperate package, not sure of the name. I'm guessing if the option for alpha is not in your menu, then the capability just plain doesn't exist (in yours). You probably need to upgrade to a newer version.

Slack 9.1 Upgrade to a newer version of Imlib2? I thought I grabbed the newest one I could find today, I'll have to look into it.

Upgrade fluxbox. If you built imlib from source then which loaders to build is probably a build option, or if you installed via a package, there should be another package for the loaders.
