Anyone use Melatonin to help them sleep?

One or two once in awhile is harmless, one pill is such a small amount relative to how much your body naturally produces. I use them once in awhile they definately help.

i used to

but i'm pretty sure it's more of a mental thing than anything; i think if i were to have taken a placebo it'd have the same effect

I got a free packet when I signed up for a road race, and used them when I just couldn't fall asleep. The only side effect I've had with them is that no matter what, I always wake up at 4 am when I take them. I fall back asleep immediately though. It's a strange, but seemingly harmless side-effect. And yes, don't get addicted to them. If you use them too much your body "forgets" how to produce it naturally.

Sometimes.

The 2.5mg under the tongue kind are much better and more effective than the 3mg swallow kind.

They even taste good, like a mint. :)

I used to use it but it quit helping after a couple of years. I now use diphenhydramine occasionally when I can't sleep.

Interestingly enough I have trouble falling asleep when I'm drunk. I have trouble sleeping as it is, but more so when I've been drinking.

No, I use Valerian root
I was going to mention that.

I take both melatonin and valerian root when I need to sleep. Works great.
