I'm thinking of joining a gym here in MD. Went by and toured the building, based on the tour everything seemed great. The only downsides that I had was the $250 setup fee and the Salesperson was really pushy.

Just want to know what other people think of them?

Expensive @ $60/month. $250 setup fee is out of control. Other than that, really nice gym.

Initiation fees are ALWAYS negotiable. Also, $60 a month is rather high.

What other gyms do you have?

I've always found most of these foo-foo gyms have everything to attract old folks and women, and leave men who are serious about fitness rather cold. Have you checked out the local Gold's Gym?

I am looking for something not soo out of the way. :) I checked another gym across the street. They were the same $60 a month, no setup fees, but required a contract and were not open 24hrs

We managed to talk the sales guy $50 down since I have 3 people signing up on the single rate. But that $50 would not help me since I would be the 1st of the 3, only the two other people signing up.

You really need 24 hours?

Ah, I see.

What did Lifetime offer you if you signed a 1 or 2 year contract?

I did not check on that, I will call them today to find that out. I went to lifetime first, thought the setup fee was outragous. Went to the other place.
