MathType sucks for the kind of stuff I'm doing now. I've heard that LaTeX is pretty much the creme-de-la-creme when it comes to typesetting technical documents.

I've downloaded and installed TeXnicCenter but it says I need a distribution of LaTeX to open with it? I have 0 functionality right now... help?
