Anyone use insurance to cover computer equipment?

Heard of a few ppl getting policies through insurance companies to cover computer equipment. Came across this site while researching, and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them. Thanks

I have it as part of my renters insurance

I have $10K coverage on my homeowners insurance and it is dirt cheap.

i have state farm renter's insurance, and it covers up to $10,000 of computer equipment.

Part of my rental insurance. $150 covers everything in my condo, minus the deductable. But then if you accidently break your laptop, might come in handy.

Your insurance isn't going to cover accidental damage. It would cover damage that the renters/homeowners would cover for other items (fire and theft).

As an FYI.

Homeowner/renter insurance will cover a theft from a vehicle.

Auto Insurance coverage will not.
