If so, please post what kind of download speeds you get. I am thinking about picking up there service but all the sales staff tells me is that download speeds can reach up to 50 times a 56k modem.

Im in Fishers, IN (service based out of Noblesville office)

when I do a download, I get anywhere from 250-500kbits per second (usually ~325kbps)....vs the 4-7kbits persecond I was getting on dialup. so, I guess my service is ~ 50-75 X faster than dialup

just looked at what I typed...I might have meant kbytes...not bits. anyway, I'm comparing apples to apples

Minendo, I live in Evansville and we used InsightBB when I lived with my friend. We use Sigecom here at home and I can't tell a difference in speed. Both are pretty good. I've gotten as high as 1502 kbps with Sigecom at dslreports.

I've got 1500/384 DSL right now, but I don't know if it is available at the apartment I am moving to. I hope I get at least equivalent download speeds.

I'm in Central KY on InsightBB... I gotta say I have no complaints. I get similar speeds to those mentioned here (don't know the exact number and too lazy to check). But anyway, if you're looking to go broadband, go for it. It's faster and much more reliable than DSL and at about the same cost or cheaper. I'll give you fair warning though, once you go broadband, you'll never go back. :)

It costs the same and although it may be slightly faster download, my DSL has three times the upload speed. Please do not turn this into a DSL vs. Cable thread.:p I have experience with both and I must say Roadrunner in Houston was not one of my best experiences.
