I have a 3rd interview tomorrow for a position I found on Hotjobs. There are many other sites I use as well.

Nope. Although the company that I currently work for and my previous employer used them to search for people. Most candidates from Monster.com are pretty worthless too.

I've applied for and been contacted by some employers that advertise on those sites. Mostly dice has gotten me the most responses...

I got my current job after responding to a Monster.com posting. The only response to many of my resumes sent via Monster. My wife got her last job (she stays at home with the baby now) via Hot Jobs.

It can happen, but I think you are less likely to get a job through Monster than you are through networking.

I have gotten 3 jobs from Monster.com

The first 2 I was downsized from, but my current job was from monster.

I think it is GREAT!

We hired 7 people at my old firm from monster.com and use it at my current employer also!

Monster is hit or miss. Ditto on the Primamerica thing. Worst part is those "Work at home" companies submitting "internal" job opportunities only to spam you thereafter with e-mails on how to work at home for the big guns after paying $$$ to enroll.

On the upside, my 2nd job was from Monster and i've been getting several inquiries from legitimate companies who found my resume on Monster but didn't particularly post the job openings on the site.

Monster is an incredibly combed website. Every company and it's subsidiary searches it. I was a tech recruiter for a couple of years and trust me, if you're on their and your resume fits the criteria, you'll be picked up and interviewed. Recruiting agencies have problems with double submissions when they use Monster - submitting a candidate to a company that's already been submitted by another agency.

Dice is a tad more exclusive, and you may get more serious interest from there.
