I've tried quite a few but the one that works for me is the Skinomi TechSkin range of screen protectors. The plastic films work just fine though if I had extra dough I'd prefer the glass screen protectors.

Nice necro.

I only use tempered glass these days. I used it on my Note3, iPhone6+, Note4 and now GS6. I have a Bodyguardz Pure on my S6, but I don't really like the way it doesn't go past the Home button or the speaker/sensors.

Question. I have always been interested in glass screens but, how does one remove said screen is it cracks? Also, is the screen ruined if you get a bubble underneath when applying?

I don't even have one on my Nexus 6, but I did order some for it. Don't really see a point I guess.

All of the glass ones I have used have had a thin film layer on the bottom of the glass so when they cracked the whole thing stayed together and peeled off easily.

If found that glass protectors are way easier than plastic to install. Since they are flat and rigid they usually do not get air bubbles between the glass and screen, and what bubbles do appear are easy to push out. You do want to make sure you do a good job of cleaning the screen first though.

I prefer glass protectors but with more and more phones going for curved glass on their screens I've gone back to film. On my note 4 in particular I had a glass screen but the edges were slightly raised due to the edges being curved and a lot dust and stuff started getting stuck under the edges. There are glass protectors that only cover the flat part of the screen but it starts to slope away so early now that those protectors barely cover the viewable screen.

Yeah I don't know how you would ever put glass protector on a phone like the s6 edge or the lg phones with their curved screens. Personally though I would leave it naked over going back to the plastic film.

Just ordered glass protectors for my phone and tablet. I've used them on my dSLR, and twice now they broken when otherwise it would have been the LCD. Easy to apply and once on, you can't tell it is. Once I try them for my devices, I'll post my impressions here.

I have been using the glass protector and while I can't prove it works, it is seamless and I am a fan for $8 or whatever. Way better than film, for sure.

I ordered SuperShieldZ for my LG G Pad. It protected very well and doesn't damage glass when it fell down to hard surface. The price is awfully cheap!

Have one on my wife's oneplus. She dropped it, and instead of the screen shattering, the $9 protector did. I'd say it did its job. Put another one on and got her a chunkier case.

On the iPhone, Spigen made curved glass protectors for this reason--however unless you're talking about a popular phone, I doubt many screen protector makers will go out of the way. The first few months after the iPhone 6 release, there were none of these. Some time in 2015, I started seeing the Spigen ones show up.

I can't vouch for the coverage of these curved protectors, but I know a non curved protector totally sucks as it falls short of the edge giving a distinct screen protector look.

I love the glass screen protectors on my G3. They seem to have a glare more than the film but they sure feel great.

I have tried teo glass on my wifes iphone 6 and they were short lived hecause of the curved glass. Might have to try one of these Spigen curved glass ones.

I use a Nilikin one for my Note 3 and I like it really. Have been using for around six months or so and there are no noticeable scratches, and other than not carrying anything else with the phone in my pant's pocket I don't take much care of my phone either. It's just a toy to me, a little pricey that's all. And the protector wasn't costly too, at least not as costly as those Spigen ones, however can't say whether Spigen would have been much better than this or not.
However once you get the feeling of a glass (hard plastic actually, it's not a glass, never can right?) protector I highly doubt you will go back to those normal protectors.

went with a tempered glass protector on my note 4. partly because writing on it with the stylus vs plastic film felt very different.

cant even tell it has one unless you see the edge.

I have a glass one on my ipad. The feeling of swiping on it is much smoother, and very noticeable on a larger surface. Also if you use a stylus for a drawing app it can really really change the drawing feel and glass is much less likely to have jerky lines. Naked isn't a good option for a stylus as sometimes you're putting a fair amount of pressure and people you use it naked alot report lots of micro scratches.

I have tried both glass and film screen protector. Some good brands like Skinomi, and iLlumiShield works great. But really,it depends on how you use your device or what not. Cause I've noticed some are just doing fine without the screen protector, so..

I have a nice glass protector on my work phone (iPhone 6). The one on my S6 is glass, but it isn't as nice.

Sand scratches glass, it's a pretty hard element.

I cracked my glass protector when I had a Z3. Taking it off wasn't an issue.
