Anyone use forms/scanner for data input?

And they have one lady who takes about 5 or so months to get it done. They have this registration twice a year, for the summer session and during the school year (it is a newman center for teh local college). I was thinking if they had a scanner and a OCR software, it should be able to do what they need and just put it all into a excel sheet or whatever.

I am meeting with them today to find out if they would rather OCR, or OCM. So if you guys have experience with working with either one, that would be great.
 
I used an HP Scanjet 6300C with ADF and some OCR software back then for scanning large amount of files and documents. ADF is Automatic Document Feeder. 25 sheets at a time.
