i have access to use email forwarding. i was thinking of setting it up so to help avoid spam. so for instance i would have:

friends@xyz.com
shop@xyz.com
school@xyz.com

and use them accordingly. if shop@xyz.com gets to much spam, i delete it and start using shop2@xyz.com

anyone else do something like this? any better ideas?

one problem is that they all would go to the same email account, so when i reply to any emails they would all have the same return email address.

Could use something like mailwasher. That, or some filters and the mail to different folders. Maybe have a separate email address you use for signing up for things on line.

Put all mail from people in your contacts into your Inbox. Discard everything else or put it into a Junk Mail folder.
