I've got the 256 version. It's a great player. Requires no software to upload music. Has superb battery life - around 22 hours or so on 1 AAA. Is easy to operate while running. It's incredibly light and has a very functional sport clip and armband included in the price.

If you need a cheap player that won't break easily, the new Ipod really is great.
If you need the FM, then go with Creative.
For a bit more, you can get a iRiver ir iAudio, though...

Also have the 256 version. Very good player. Have you tried the NX200? Maybe the names wrong, but its the smaller version. You can get a 1gb version for 200 at frys every day.

does the nx200 have FM? i kinda liked the idea of having FM to fall back on if i was sick of my music.

for anyone that has muvo tx fm, how's the radio reception and can you switch preset stations easily?

I have the 512 and the reception is good if the player isn't covered, but if it goes in my backpack or inside pocket is get really staticy. Other then that its great.

I have the Irive 512, and love it, light, comes with a sport strap to run wiht, and a good shuffle. Pity it doesn't take playlists, but you can organize it in folders if you want!

Cheers!

I wouldn't buy one due to technological and moral objections, but hardly a ripoff at $100 for 512MB and $150 for 1GB.

i have the n200 512mb. it's also got FM but doesn't have a built-in USB plug so you'll need to use a mini-usb cable (included)

the FM reception is pretty good from what i can tell. it automatically scans all the stations and you can switch between them in order easily.

I just got the 256MB version and it rocks. It's great for running... really light and small and easy to control the songs. The sound quality is nice too... really loud and lots of bass.
