i had never heard of contiki until i was in amsterdam last summer. we went to one of the live sex shows and there were several contiki groups there. from what i could tell it is a young adult travel and hook up service.

Did their Great Britain tour. Was at the top of the age range. Most of the people were in their early to mid twenties. Had a great time. Lots of partying. Went out drinking most nights. Everyone was very friendly. Majority of the travelers were from Australia.

i guess this is the snobbish answer, but don't do a guided tour of europe. you'll regret it assuming your main reasons for travelling aren't getting sh*tfaced in "irish" bars. (touristy parts of europe have irish pubs that basically cater to obnoxious english-speaking tourists). you won't get a good feel of the environment/culture and you won't be on your own schedule. go with a friend (or ever alone) and meet up with the other travellers in the various hostels in which you'll be staying.

My friend went right after graduating college and ended up sleeping with like 3 of the girls and then stayed for an extra month at the end of the trip because he didn't wnat to come back.
