anyone use Capital One rewards checking? is it worth it?

you earn points for writing checks or using your debit card to redeem for miles, gift cards, cash back etc.
it reads like you don't redeem points based on the transaction amount, but rather the number of times you make a transaction.

what the site doesn't tell you is how much the points translate to redeeming items.
