Anyone use canal earphones on planes?

Something about using earphones that require a vacuum seal and riding on an airplane makes me uneasy, with the ears popping and all. Will it make any difference? I'm just afraid of my eardrums being sucked through my headphones.

Clearly i have a poor understanding on how all this works, just curious.

I use Etymotics 4p canalphones. GREAT for taking the noise out on planes. Plus, they're top-rated audiophile phones for crisp sound.

Your ears won't burst on a plane. LOL! Planes are pressurized. I wear my phones on takeoff all the way until landing--several times.

Now worries buddy.

Actually, I can't travel in a plane without them. The noise isolation is day and night great allowing me to sleep or watch movies in pure isolation as if I were at home. 😀
