Anyone use Bowflex SelectTech Dumbbell Set?

Saw the commercial... looks like a cool idea. Dumbells are $350, but then you don't have to buy a whole ton of them. I like the fact that you only need one set then too and can do so much with it.

Just wondering if anyone has used them.

is this the thing where you basically just tell it how much you want it to weigh and it'll weigh that much? I saw something like that at a sports store a long time ago, pricey but very cool.

Looks decent, but there are competitors. If you have the room you could get a nice dumbell in 5 lb increments for a good bit cheaper.

There are other selectable dumbell sets out there, I've got to think they're cheaper than $350 for a pair.

Nautulis makes them too, but it's $350 for those too. They only go up to 52.5 pounds, which isn't really enough for me, otherwise it might be worth purchasing.

Edit: Just found this:

Similar, but it only goes up to 45lbs on each hand. $288 shipped, compared to the $350 for the bowflex ones. If you really needed the extra 7.5lbs, you could probably get a magnetic weight for each side.

I think i'm alright for now. I can't lift much over 30 lbs in any dumbell excercise I do (i'm a pussy), so all I have is a 30, 25, 10, 5. Much cheaper.

I've used those and they are not comfortable to use.
