Anyone use Bid Sniper?

My Dads been introduced to the cut throat market of H.O. Scale model trains on Ebay. His continually asking me about bid sniper and programs like it to help him obtain trains that he loses to last second bids. I've never used it so I know next to nothing about it...

Anyone here use Bid Sniper or a program like it? and if so which would you recommend. Please keep in mind my father is about as computer ILLiterate as you can get, so the easier the better.
