If you do can you give me a run down on how licenses work ? I am baffled by the fact that once buying the product you need to buy more licenses per pc you deploy or clone using Snap Deploy.


Oh and does anyone else know of similar freeware program ?
 
Um, yup. You basically explained it to yourself as simply as you possibly can. (I have an Acronis rep pestering me weekly now as I trialed their software here at work and mentioned it may have uses here...)

Basically - you can use Snap Deploy as intended, however EVERY machine that has a snap deploy image on it. How fun is that?

As far as alternatives, we're using RIS here. You have a Win2k3 server, just use RIS.
