Anyone use anti-blue light computer glasses and if so, any recommendations?

So yeah, i'm not a big fan of F.lux and i want to try on glasses that do the same thing. I don't have a problem with eyestrain, but I think the blue light phenomenon might be causing me to not sleep as well as i should. Any of you guys use those computer glasses that block blue light? And if so, how's it work for you and which ones did you buy?

I bought some Magnivision computer glasses from a pharmacy. My vision of the laptop screen was no better and perhaps worse, so I returned them.

A co-worker at my previous job had a pair but he was kind of a tool. Don't know what brand they were but I'm pretty sure they were expensive.

It may be a PITA, but you could try tweaking the color on your monitors for a couple days to see if that helps?

It's free, and will let you find out if it helps you sleep better.

Are those like yellow sunglasses? Or does it just block off stuff around 430 nm?

I did not realize this was a thing. Wonder if a coating could be added to a car's windshield to block blue light. Would perhaps protect against those ridiculously bright blue HID lights that some assholes install on their cars. Those need to be illegal.

I sit infront of a computer 8 hours a day minimum. I use to get headaches by the end of the day, this went on for years if I was reading for a large portion of the day. I switched to the lenses that block a spectrum of the blue band and have completely eliminated my headaches. 100% for computer only work I'll never go back.

Im not sure if mine are Hoya or Nikon. All the major brands have their version, they're probably all similar.

You can't tell that the lenses are blocking blue except for a few things. One, when looking through them, whites will appear slightly yellow tinted, and two, the reflections have a different colour. If you notice normal anti glare reflects greenish, these reflect purplish.

As far as I can tell after close to a year of wearing them, there are zero downsides.

I think they work after using the android twilight app. For the pc, its probably easier just using the monitor settings to use the warm preset(or configure your evening-time preset) for color temp than having to use spectacles.
