Anyone use a Sandisk Ultra II for gaming?

The price at which amazon has these guys for the 960GB has left me itching really bad.

i was reading anandtech's reviews and he says its not very optimal for gaming.
I was wondering if anyone has used one for gaming and their feed back as my steam drive is getting full and i need another large class SSD.

I have a 480GB one in my HTPC. Works great, got it for dirt cheap.

It stands up well against the popular 850 Evo (250GB variants). Pay no mind to the statement that it is no good for gaming. It is far better than bottom of the barrel drives like the V300 types. We do appear to have broken a new floor in SSD for a decent TB model at less than $300.

ugh... now u got me even more conflicted...
But yeah, that mushkin is very temping.

There is a rather large problem with how poorly SSD and storage reviews and benchmark numbers actually convey differences in real world usage particularly with gaming. Some of which was discussed in a recent thread - http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2454092

With that said I wouldn't buy a TLC drive unless you actually get a significant price advantage passed onto you as the consumer. The Ultra IIs were on sale for $200 for the 960GB version before MLC drives came down recently so they were offering good savings for the capacity then.
