Anyone use a portal impact wrench ?

The one you either plug into the lighter plug or the one you direct connect to the battery for emergency.

How well does it work ?

Does it work well enough that you can just not worry about carrying the tire iron?

Electrical things can break... I don't see the point of leaving out the tire iron unless you're putting the impact wrench where the tire iron was and you don't have room

noone else uses or used an electric impact wrench?

i've never even heard of one. i thought they were all pneumatic.

I've seen electric impacts that are run on 110v but nothing at 12v.

The 110v ones work great.

BUT...not as good as a real 300+FP torque pneumatic one. My advice? Keep the original hand-cranked one in the trunk, and don't be afraid to use your Popeye-sized forearms like a real man. D

Lug nuts are second in stubborness only to manifold bolts.

Manifold bolts = The Satan of the automotive world.
