Anyone use a lot of rechargable batteries?

I was over at batteryspace.com and was looking at some aa 1800 mah and some aaa 700 mah batteries with a recharger. I can get 8 aa and 8 aaa with a charger for 29.00. My question is how many times can I recharge these batteries and how long do they last compared to non-rechargable batteries?

I think they will save me money in the long run but only if they batteries really hold a decent charge. Anyone have much experience with these?

Thanks for any help.

They last about 1000 charges, or so they say. I use them in my digital camera, cordless optical mouse and keyboard, and backup for my minidisc player.

I've probably saved a good £100 in the past couple of years since I got all this stuff :)

They're awesome, buy them...

I'm on my 2nd generation rapid charger (1 hr) & still have all the batteries I started with, they last fine in electronic devices, in flashlights they discharge appx 1% per day even when not in use, so they're not ideal, but if you keep an extra set charged, they're fine for flashlights too:D
