Well, this probably doensn't have much to do with your question..but I see people with these all the time for books at school, and my first thought is always: "What, you're too lazy to carry your own books?"

I wouldn't get one just for the safety reason...if your books/laptop are traveling behind you, its a lot easier for someone who's not paying attention to trip over it and knock your laptop down a convienently placed flight of stairs.

Some bitch in the Charlotte airport knocked my 6.5 month pregnant wife down by tripping her with one of those rolling cases about 3 years ago.

Shoulda seen the reaction in the terminal when I started yelling.

That ignorant bitch is DAMN lucky I didn't see it was her who did it until she was too far away to reach.
I would have made her swallow that fvckin case! :|

I purchased one for a user in my company and she loves it.
She does a lot of traveling so it really lightens the load.

Bought an American Tourister oen for around $100 at that time

I've had a laptop for a few months now... I definitely need to get a case with wheels for it. I dropped the carrying case that I keep it in, and I broke a ton of pixels. Now I have to send it in for repair...

I have a good friend that keeps his laptop and all of his books/paperwork in one case... I need to, I have a bad back and it would be much easier on me (heck, even if I didn't have a bad back, I wouldn't want to carry it around all day (I don't have a very light laptop)).

BTW, although I'm in highschool, I also work part-time for the same school district as a network technician. I couldn't live without my laptop... it's a life saver all the time.

I have been using laptops and rolling cases at work for a couple of years now. It was about $100. I love it. I travel a lot and I keep a mouse and several adapters/cords for hooking up to the phone lines in the Hotels. I also put my suitcase handle around the telescoping handle of the case and my suitcase rides on top of it freeing up the other hand for my briefcase. I was concerned about the bumping at first but it's never been a problem.
