This morning I have been trying:
ScanSoft PaperPort Deluxe 7.0
MS Office Xp Document Imaging
OmniPage Limited Edition 5.0
None of these are good and would actually create more work for me by having to take the time to figure out where they went wrong.
I have an interview on Monday and have to supply writing samples from when I was clerking. I lost the .doc files for the samples I want to use, but have been able to print them out from my fax software because it saved copies when I faxed them into work. This means I have to retype them all by hand because they print with the fax header on each page.
I'm not a typist but I think I could have had them done in the time I've wasted on this OCR software. Has anyone found any software that does a reliable job - maybe four individual word errors per page? Am I asking too much?
